Live Music: Mason Jar Confessions

Mason Jar Confessions are a trio consisting of Dawn Nichols on vocals and Danny Platt on guitar/vocals and features rotating guests to round out the trio including Blake Bostain on mandolin/trumpet; Elijah Davenport on guitar; Pete Washburn on banjo. Mason Jar Confessions play a mixed bag of Americana, rock, folk, bluegrass, and original music to create “confession sessions.” Each member of MJC perform in other local and regional acts including Handlebar Betty, Lost Ridge Band, The Merry Tanksters and Turpentine Shine to form a nice blend of each of their respective other projects. Members of the band have performed in various settings with many artists including Doc Watson, Jeff Sipe, David Childers, the Krueger Brothers, and members of Railroad Earth and the New Riders of the Purple Sage.
